Kim Kardashian Opens Up About Her Breakup With Pete Davidson on ‘The Kardashians’

Kim Kardashian finally opened up about her breakup with Pete Davidson after almost a year of dating (and several very official red carpet appearances). And while Kim didn’t go into exactly why they split, she did reveal details of how the breakup unfolded—saying she and Pete were communicating well.

Confirming that she’s “single and not ready to mingle” on The Kardashians, Kim said she was “proud” of how she and Pete had handled the end of their relationship, saying, “We just had talks and talks—like, we’ve been talking about it. So it was just, like, both of us just communicating really well about it.”

She added that “it’s obviously sad” and that nine months was “a long time,” noting that “there was, like, a lot of guilt. He went through a lot because, you know, my relationship.”

Pete and Kim recently had a public reunion at the Met Gala ^, where they were spotted chatting. Naturally, fans read into the ~way~ Pete was looking at his ex in photos from their interaction, but a source told Us Weekly that “it wasn’t like there were any nostalgic feelings” between them and that “things are going really well” with Pete and his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders. As the insider put it, “Things between Pete and Chase are going really smoothly. [Pete] thinks she’s hilarious, and they have a similar sense of humor, which is really attractive to [him].”

Meanwhile, Pete thinks that keeping things friendly with Kim “makes things easier” because “it’s likely the Met won’t be the last time they’re in the same room together.”
