Kim Kardashian Leaves Kanye West’s Bedside as He Prepares to Spend Thanksgiving in Hospital
Kanye West will likely be spending his Thanksgiving holiday at the hospital.
PEOPLE has learned Kim Kardashian West was spotted leaving UCLA Medical Center on Wednesday evening with a bodyguard in tow, and will likely be returning Thursday morning.
West, 39, remains hospitalized to undergo treatment for sleep deprivation, according to a source close to the rapper. Though he is “starting to feel more like himself,” the father of two understands the importance of “resting and getting help.”
The insider added, “They are taking it day by day. He understands that getting help at the hospital was necessary.”
PEOPLE confirmed West was hospitalized for exhaustion on Monday afternoon after canceling the remaining 21-dates of his Saint Pablo tour. West “was medically stable” when he was taken to the hospital, an LAFD spokesman told PEOPLE.
Up until now, Kardashian West, 36, had not left her husband’s bedside, even missing Monday evening’s Angel Ball in New York City which would have marked her first public appearance since the life-threatening robbery in Paris on Oct. 3, when she was tied up, gagged, held at gunpoint and robbed of millions of dollars of jewelry in her No Address Hotel apartment.
She was spotted flying out of New York to head back to Los Angeles shortly following news of Kanye’s hospitalization.
“Of course he’s getting the support that he needs right now,” a source previously told PEOPLE. “Family and friends are around. Kim is being amazing. As are all of his friends and team and inner circle.”
