Ah cargo pants... at last, we meet again. For anyone growing up in the '90s/early '00s, the slouchy, fatigue trousers bring back fond memories of Avril Lavigne, Ciara and Destiny's Child. Now, as with many other Y2K trends, cargo pants are making a fashion comeback, and even Kim Kardashian's on board. Yep, there's a sentence I never thought I'd say, but here we are.

Just this week, Kim stepped out in New York City wearing an outfit that looks like it's straight out of 2004. In the snaps, Kim wears a fitted khaki vest top, teamed with a pair of voluminous cargo pants. The first thing you'll notice is the camouflage print all over the bottoms. Next up, you'll likely clock the number of pockets featured on said pants - more than enough to save you having to bring a handbag with you, that's for sure.

Having said that, Kim finished the 'fit with a satchel like bag with a long strap slung over her shoulder and a pair of khaki pointed pumps that perfectly match the trousers. See Kim's retro-inspired 'fit here:

As for beauty details, she's gone for another old school style - a low bun with a centre part and two blunt face-framing strands on either cheek.

Aaaaand, because we love any excuse for a throwback, here are a handful of our favourite noughties celebrities repping the cargo pants back in the day, including Avril:
