Kim Kardashian Just Wore Her Most Affordable Pair of Sneakers Ever

Kim Kardashian has worn her fair share of outrageous fashion staples. Outrageous in that they can cost as much as a new car, like that Balmain outfit she wore during Paris Fashion Week 2020 or that $20,000 Hermés bag Kanye gifted her. All we can say to that is, jaw drop.

All that background is important, as it makes today's focus all the more noteworthy: Kim was recently seen wearing a pair of $65 sneakers you can get at Nordstrom for an outing with Pete Davidson, and all we can say to that is, yet again, jaw drop.

It's no secret the media mogul's style has changed quite a bit since she started seeing the SNL actor, and we're 100 percent here for it because it means more attainable outfits that us regular folk can actually get in on. And those classic Old Skool Vans sneakers she wore? We can absolutely snatch those up. Not to mention, it's couple style done right, seeing as Davidson is also quite the Vans stan. Mark our words: 2022 is the year of the Vans.

But Kim being Kim kept a little bit of luxe in her look in the form of a pair of $595 Balenciaga leggings, a pricey Vetements black hoodie, and her go-to Balenciaga sunnies that cost close to $2,000. Her $65 sneakers certainly have a drastically lower price point than the rest of the pieces in her outfit, but we totally get why she decided to wear them. Sure, Davidson might have had some influence, but the 2000s hallmark is making a comeback for a reason: The shoes are equally cool and comfortable and go well with everything, like leggings, jeans, sweatsuits, or dresses.

Kardashian isn't the only Vans fan, and she also won't be the last. Megan Fox, Emily Ratajkowski, Bella Hadid, Julia Roberts, and Kourtney Kardashian have all stepped out in the classic skate shoe on multiple occasions. And with such a solid celeb backing (and approval from fashion editors, too), we can't help but be intrigued by this seemingly simple sneaker with the now-iconic side stripe.
