Barbie mania shows no sign of slowing down, and Kim Kardashian just combined Barbiecore beauty with another huge trend. Everyone has been going wild for those cool-toned 'true pink' blushes, for delivering a doll-like glam, but if the hue reminds you of 80s makeup? Well, Kim's take will even more. She's used the popular TikTok technique 'blush draping', which has its roots in the 70s and 80s.

Blush draping is where blusher is applied in a C-shape, high on the cheekbone and up around to the temple, delivering a contouring effect and lifting the cheek. Kim's hair is somewhat masking that area, but we can see how high the blush is sitting and see that rosy glow carrying up subtly round the sides of the forehead and hairline

I've always worn copious amounts of blush, seeing it more as a focal point than a natural flush (literally my neighbour once asked if I'd been running), so seeing blush take centre stage in glam this year is such a joy. And it makes total sense when our biggest beauty icon this year is a doll.

You'd be surprised too, how these startling shades of pink in the pan, actually appear on the skin, like this Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Glow Blush our team tried out in the near neon shade 'Ecstasy'.

I mean, how good is this colour on both of them? And Keeks even gave blush draping a whirl, explaining; "Blush draping is basically applying it from your temple down, as apposed to in the centre of your cheek bone which is where I would normally place my blush."
