Last year, Kim Kardashian made the decision to close down KKW Beauty—which included her cosmetics and fragrance lines—in order to undergo a rebrand. Now, just over a year later, the business mogul has teased a comeback in a recent post on Twitter.

In the original IG announcement, which has since been deleted, Kim revealed, “On August 1, [2021], at midnight, we will be shutting down the KKWBeauty.com site so that we can come back to you under a completely new brand with new formulas that are more modern, innovative, and packaged in an elevated and sustainable new look.”

With her recently releases SKKN skincare, many of us thought the time of Kim Kardashian’s makeup had passed. That is, though, until one fan tweeted her, “Will we be getting makeup soon?!? I’m anxiously waiting.”

To this, Kim responded with optimism, writing, “We’re working on it! You guys are going to love our new formulas.”

The Instagram beauty news page @TrendMood1 also documented the announcement with its very own post.

Beauty fanatics and Kardashian fans took to the comments section to share their thoughts and excitement. Read a select few of what they had to say below:

“Finalllyyyyy I’ve been basically rationing her lip liners.”

“FINALLY I CAN HAVE MY NUDE 4 LINER AND GLOSS GOD IS GOOD.”

“I hope she brings back fragrance too! I love her fragrance.”

“The original bullet lipstick formula is my HG!!”

“The grip her concealers, lip liners, and lipsticks had on me!”

“Getting my Nude 1 lip liner back would be the best 2023 gift ever please god.”

“NEED THE BRIGHTENING POWDER BACK I’M ALMOST OUT OF ALL MY BACKUPS!!!”

“SCREAMING AND CRYING HECK YES.”

However, as of late, I think it’s fair to say the beauty industry is incredibly oversaturated with an immense amount of celebrity cosmetic lines contributing to that overflow.

So, what do you think? Is there a gap in the market for Kim’s upcoming makeup collection or would you rather invest in what we already have on offer?
