  • TMZ reports that Kim Kardashian has not apologized to Taylor Swift after her TIME interview.

  • In the profile, Taylor said that Kim leaking the call between her and Kanye West "took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before."

  • Taylor would accept an apology, per TMZ, but the outlet says that "even after the Time article, it's still crickets."

Taylor Swift went ahead and name-checked Kim Kardashian in her TIME Magazine 2023 Person of the Year profile, dusting off some years-old drama involving Kim leaking a circa-2016 phone call of Taylor and Kanye West discussing his song "Famous." And according to TMZ, Kim hasn't reached out to apologize to Taylor.

To get everyone on the same page real quick, Taylor had this to say about Kim leaking the call:

"Make no mistake—my career was taken away from me. You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar. That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before. I moved to a foreign country. I didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard."

You can get a brief breakdown of events over here, but in 2020 Kim denied editing the footage and tweeted "To be clear, the only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that 'Kanye never called to ask for permission...' They clearly spoke so I let you all see that. Nobody ever denied the word 'bitch' was used without her permission."

Taylor's publicist, Tree Paine, tweeted this in response:

Whew! Circling back to TMZ's latest reporting on this issue, the outlet says that "Kim still has not apologized" and that "even after the Time article, it's still crickets." They also claim sources have told them that Taylor would accept an apology, but it would need to be public because "as one source put it to us, a public shaming calls for a public 'I'm sorry.'"

Thus far, Kim has remained silent, and simply dropped this yesterday:
