She’s going back to her roots! Kim Kardashian, 42, brought in the new year by dying her hair back to her natural brunette after spending half of 2022 as a blonde. Her daughter North West, 9, captured Kim before she transitioned back to her iconic dark hair in a TikTok posted to their joint account on Christmas Eve. Kardashian appears on her bed with her natural hair wet and down straight on a side part. It’s the first look we’ve had in months of Kim’s real hair texture and length, as the star often wears extensions.

Kim Kardashian Stuns Fans With Her Natural Hair–Sans Extensions

In September, Kim admitted to Interview that her blonde hair was only temporary. She debuted the bleached locks at the 2022 Met Gala in May. Kim infamously wore actress Marilyn Monroe’s iconic “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” dress on the red carpet before switching to a replica.

“I am keeping it for a little bit,” the mogul and reality star said of the lighter hair to Interview magazine. “I feel like in the fall I’ll go dark, just because I don’t want to damage my hair. But, I do think blondes have more fun. I just feel different.” She also mentioned that she trusted her own judgment calls when it comes to what she should and shouldn’t wear.

“I trust myself in the sense of, I know what looks good, and I know what makes me feel really uncomfortable,” she said. “But, every once in a while, someone will be like, ‘Trust me. This looks good.‘ Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn’t, and you just have to roll with it. It’s not that serious. I care a lot, but I also can’t let it consume me. Sometimes there [are] bad angles, bad lighting. You can’t control it all.” Kim’s ex-husband Kanye West, 45, famously styled her, usually in clothes he designed, for almost all public outings when they were married. Looks like Kim is now embracing her own style choices, like when she wore an Adidas and Balenciaga outfit.

Despite giving us a glimpse of her natural hair, Kim was out in extensions again at mom Kris Jenner’s Christmas Eve party. The Skims founder dazzled in a silver Versace one-shoulder column gown.

Celebrity stylist Chris Appleton captioned his social media post: “O.G. Kim or miss the blonde?” While his followers praised the return of Kim’s warm brown locks, she seems to be experiencing a little regret. “I miss the blonde,” Kim wrote in the comments section of the beauty guru’s post. Commenters, however, disagreed. They love Kim’s natural hair.

“Her dark hair makes her pretty features striking, and the blonde makes her look washed out in my opinion,” one fan wrote under Appleton’s post. A second follower commented: “She looks gorgeous with her natural color” while a third mentioned: “She looks beautiful in a variety of hair colors, but the OG gives CLASSIC and TIMELESS. It’s regal.” We have to agree!

Kim Kardashian Revealed She’s Open To Another Marriage And Having More Children

Kim Kardashian said that she’s open to the possibility of a fourth marriage. Her divorce from the controversial Kanye was finalized in November and they now co-parent their four children: North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3. Kardashian said she won’t “say never” to more children, but wants to stay single for several years before she gets married again.

Kardashian has been married three times before: first, to producer Damon Thomas, 52, second, to NBA player Kris Humphries, 37, and third, to rapper Ye. Kim appeared on “The Goop Podcast,” hosted by Gwyneth Paltrow, in an episode released Tuesday, Dec. 27. During the episode, she and Gwyneth, 50, discussed her social media, home life, and any romantic prospects. Kim said, “I have this, like, fantasy in my head, like, ‘Fourth time’s a charm, it’s gonna work out,'” she told the host about whether there was another marriage in her future.
