Kim Kardashian Is Facing Backlash Over Her Mother's Day Tribute to Kris Jenner

Kim Kardashian celebrated Mother's Day early this year, and in anticipation of the annual celebration on Friday, she shared a tribute to her mom, Kris Jenner, on Instagram.

"I purchased the camera he used on their wedding day and the photos and made an album for her. She never had those photos so to see them brought out so many happy tears! Happy Mother’s Day mom I love you beyond!"

Sweet, right? Well, then Kim signed off with another message to her mom that prompted backlash from fans. "And the first pic I posted of you in the bikini after you gave birth to Rob is MAJOR GOALS!!! Always in everything you do," she wrote in reference to a throwback photo of a Kris showcasing her svelte figure in a two-piece strapless swimsuit.

Soon, the comments section was filled with messages accusing Kim of only praising her mom's outward appearance. "What deep and meaningful message she sent to you. Stay thin. That's all," one user wrote, while another added: "Tell what you love about your mom. Is it her caring? Her understanding? Her boundless love for you? Nope, she got skinny and tan after four babies!! GOALS."

Another commenter questioned, "Why do we base GOALS on how skinny a woman can get after birthing a human?"

This isn't the first time Kim has been criticized for celebrating weight loss. Back in 2018, the KKW Beauty founder posted a video of herself proudly telling her sisters that she weighed 119 pounds. The news was met with dangerous "compliments," such as "I don't think you're eating, and that she looked anorexic.

Social media and celebrities alike called out Kim for promoting the problematic language, but it appears the reality star didn't learn her lesson.
