Kim Kardashian Dyed Her Hair Bright Red

Kim Kardashian West typically alternates between two hair colors: brown and blond. So when she steps outside the box, it's always an unexpected surprise, like when she dyed her hair bright pink back in February 2018. Her latest look is similar to that but even bolder: The reality-TV star now has bright, fire-engine red hair. Yup!

Kardashian West unveiled the new look on Instagram Stories, where she posted a series of videos. It's a deeper cherry red for her that's perfect for summertime. Check out the pics for yourself, below:

And just in case you're wondering, this is, in fact, her real hair. Kardashian West's hairstylist, Chris Appleton, confirmed it on his own Instagram. "Red head 🍒 it’s NOT a wig before you start with that shit," he posted alongside a clip of her and her newly dyed hair.

Kim isn't the only Kardashian-Jenner going bold in the hair department while sheltering in place. Kylie Jenner unveiled her new bright pink hair on Sunday, June 28. "Can you guess my favorite color," she wrote in her caption.

This, of course, is far less shocking of a change, given that we're used to Jenner switching up her hair color. She's been everything from pink to blue to green to blond.

Maybe this will start a new chapter in the era of Kim's beauty. Will she do blue hair next? Or maybe purple? I won't hold my breath, but the red hair is certainly a welcome change—and a relatable one too. The country is slowly starting to reopen now, but for a while everyone was doing DIY hair care to combat quarantine boredom. Remember when Bella Hadid cut her own bangs?

Or when she experimented with gray hair (even if it only was a TikTok filter)?

I'm all here for this creativity staying even after restrictions are lifted—in fact, colorists are predicting the biggest summer hair colors will be bright and bold. Now excuse me while I go contemplate if I'm cool enough to pull off pink hair.
