Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West in February, following months of rumors that the couple was ending their marriage of six years. In her filing, TMZ reported at the time, Kardashian reportedly asked "for joint legal and physical custody of the couple's four kids."

At the time, a source told TMZ that the couple, who shares four children, was "already far along in reaching a property settlement agreement." E!'s source in December said that the split had been a long time coming: "Kim and Kanye are doing their own thing. They spend a lot of time apart," E!'s source said.

Now, months after news of the split first broke, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Kardashian "has been doing her best to surround herself with her family and good friends, be social, go out and, of course, take care of her children." The source added: "She is focused on making sure her kids are taken care of and protected. But she is definitely still getting used to her new norm."

Kardashian's mom, Kris Jenner, broke her silence on the divorce last month in an interview with KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O.

"Kim wanted to deal with this her own way, with her own family in her own time," Jenner said. "So I think that’s going to be for her to work through and process, and then when she feels like it, I'm sure she’ll say whatever she needs to say." She continued:

"I think it's always going to be hard. You know, there's a lot of kids, and Kim and Kanye. The good thing about our family is we're there for each other and supportive, and we love each other very, very much. So all I want is for those two kids to be happy. And I want the kids to be happy. That's the goal. I think we all want that for our families."

When asked whether Keeping Up With the Kardashians viewers would see the divorce on the final season of the show, Jenner said, "You might."
