Kim Kardashian has created a successful career out of capturing and publicizing nearly every aspect of her life. Cameras are constantly surrounding her, whether they belong to her reality show crew, paparazzi, or admirers aching for a selfie. But while the 33-year-old usually seems at ease being filmed or getting her picture taken, this wasn’t the case on the streets of Paris on Thursday when celebrity prankster Vitalii Sediuk nearly knocked down the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star.
Kardashian, along with her husband, Kanye West, and mother, Kris Jenner, arrived for the Balmain fashion show at Le Grand Hôtel to watch half-sister Kendall Jenner on the runway — and of course to check out the clothes from young designer Olivier Rousteing. At first, the group tried to exit their car by the sidewalk (where the rest of the passengers were being let out), but there were so many people surrounding them that they were directed to pull up to the hotel’s entrance. Except even the VIP entrance wasn’t enough to create a clear path for the trio. As a video from GetitVids shows, West was able to push through, but when Kardashian got out, she was reportedly nearly knocked to the ground by Sediuk. You can also clearly hear Nori’s mom scream, “Stop it!”

The 25-year-old former journalist, who previously crawled under America Ferrara’s skirt in Cannes and punched Brad Pitt at the Hollywood premiere of Maleficent, allegedly lunged at the newlywed and tripped her up. His involvement has yet to be confirmed, but he told the Daily Mail, “I hope Kim is OK and won’t be mad at me as I didn’t mean any harm. Kanye is one lucky man as Kim is a goddess!”
Before Kardashian could be trampled by those vying for a snapshot, a security guard steadied her and pushed others out of the way. Yahoo Style editors report from the frontlines that the out-of-control crowd was scary for even nonfamous people in the area, too. While most people at the gathering were probably there to catch a glimpse of the Kardashian/West/Jenner crew, the crowd’s large size could have been in part because of the famous models in the show. Karlie Kloss, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, and Jourdan Dunn all made appearances.
Ironically enough, after pushing through the pack and eventually taking their seats, Kardashian, West, and Jenner sat in the front row to watch the social media-inspired collection, which was set to a soundtrack including Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson’s song “Stop Pressuring Me” and Kanye’s hit “All of the Lights.” Jenner even recovered enough to record a video of her daughter on the catwalk. On Wednesday, North West went to the Balenciaga show — luckily the 1-year-old didn’t choose to throw a fit and avoided the chaos.
