Kim Kardashian, 42, just wore a totally see-through dress to celebrate her birthday

This weekend, Kim Kardashian celebrated her 42nd birthday. And, unsurprisingly, it was a truly *extra* occasion. From countless bouquets and lush dinners to even a personalised bday wish from Usher (amazing), Kim's 42nd bday was one helluva event. Of course, no Kardashian party is complete without a killer outfit to match, so, you bet ya bottom dollar she wore an equally notable 'fit for the occasion.

Kim marked her latest trip around the sun with a pared-back Dolce & Gabbana look. Let's not forget, Kim also made an appearance at the brand's recent Milan Fashion Week show (which she co-curated), so the designer outfit choice makes sense. For her intimate Calabasas dinner with her family and some of her closest friends, Kim opted for a long, sheer lace strapless dress that is peak naked dress vibes. The star teamed the see-through slip with a contrasting black lingerie set and the teeeeniest, tiiiiniest top handle bag.

Friend and Hollywood hair guru, Chris Appleton, shared snaps of the look on Instagram along with the caption, "She just gets better 🧁 Last nights bday glam".

Speaking of hair, Kim wore her platinum strands down in a middle part, with soft waves finishing just below her waist.

While the bday celebrations were meant to continue with a trip to Las Vegas to see Usher perform, weather conditions meant that the crew had to turn around and continue the party at home. Usher then followed up with a video message saying he was sorry that they missed the concert, but hoped they could make it to the next one. For the record, if Kim can't go to the next show, I'm totally free.
