Kim Cattrall Liked a Verrry Pointed Tweet About the ‘Sex and the City’ Reboot Happening Without Her

In case you somehow missed the internet flipping out in excitement, Sex and the City is being rebooted by HBO Max. But it’s gonna look a little different this time thanks to the fact that Samantha will literally be absent.

Kim Cattrall has not signed on for SATC’s new chapter, And Just Like That, but! She did go ahead and respond (ish) to the show continuing without her. And by that, I mean she Liked a somewhat pointed tweet from a fan. According to Entertainment Tonight, Kim hearted the below tweet that reads, “I absolutely love Sex and the City and whilst I am saddened that Samantha will not return, I applaud doing what is best for you and think this is a great example of putting yourself first. Well done, @KimCattrall 💖💖💖.”

Kim’s ~Like~ comes as Sarah Jessica Parker responded to a fan who claimed she “dislikes” Kim, saying, “No, I don’t dislike her. I’ve never said that. Never would. Samantha isn’t part of this story. But she will always be part of us. No matter where we are or what we do.”

As a reminder, Kim revealed she was “never friends” with her Sex and the City costars in 2017 and said SJP specifically “could have been nicer” about her declining to do a third movie. Awk times.
