Killington Cup Ticket Sales Announced
It's official. Tickets for the Stifel Killington Cup alpine race at Killington, Vermont, will be available for purchase starting October 12th at 10:00 am Eastern Time.
The event will take place over Thanksgiving weekend from November 24th through the 26th.
The Stifel Killington Cup features women's races on two courses: slalom and giant slalom.
Over the years, Mikala Shiffrin -- the winningest racer of all time -- has made a name for herself as one to watch at the Stifel Killington Cup, earning a total of five wins on the venue's slalom course (slalom is one of Shiffrin's preferred race disciplines).
Although last year she was beaten out of first place by Anna Swenn Larsson and Wendy Holdener, who tied for the top position -- Shiffrin ended up in fifth. This November, the question of if more competitors can best Shiffrin's dominance on the slalom course will loom large.
It's not all ski racing high drama at the Stifel Killington Cup, though. The weekend event will feature live music and a showing of Advice for Girls alongside the involvement of Heroic, an initiative designed to create more opportunities for women in the ski industry.
