To Kill a Mockingbird is returning to the big screen!
Fathom Events and Turner Classic Movies are celebrating the 60th anniversary of the iconic movie by bringing it back to select theaters this fall.
The film, based on the Harper Lee classic, will be shown in hundreds of locations across the country on November 13 and November 16. Viewers will also be treated to exclusive behind-the-scenes insights and background information about the making of the movie.
"Experience one of the most significant milestones in film history like never before with To Kill a Mockingbird," Fathom Events teased. "Screen legend Gregory Peck stars as courageous Southern lawyer Atticus Finch— the Academy Award-winning performance hailed by the American Film Institute as the 'Greatest Movie Hero of All Time.'"
Based on Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel about innocence and strength, To Kill a Mockingbird won three Academy Awards—including Best Actor for Peck—and was nominated for eight, including Best Picture.
The film is one of 12 being brought back to theaters this year as part of the annual TCM Big Screen Classics Series. Other highlights include Smokey and the Bandit (May 29, June 1, and June 2) and It's a Wonderful Life (December 18 and December 21.)
