Kiernan Shipka’s Makeup Artist Shared the Chanel Products Used at “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” Premiere

After months of waiting, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has finally arrived on Netflix, and the stars of the series, including Salem, celebrated with a red carpet premiere on Friday (October 19). The series might have just landed in our streaming queues, but Kiernan Shipka was already serving subtle hints of what's to come from the show via her premiere night beauty routine.

In an interview with Teen Vogue, Lauren Gott, celebrity makeup artist, shared how she took direct inspiration from the show for her work on Kiernan's premiere look. "I have been collecting inspiration photos for months on Instagram which uniquely and randomly all culminate and compliment the look for this premiere," she said. "My inspiration stems from the forces of nature: comfort in the dark, connection with nature, the body, and a commandment of elements (earth and fire). Her dress features dark, earth-sooted black, black-beetle colored palettes, sequins that flash between swirling bronze-flickering fire and deep blood burgundy . It’s richly elegant yet grounded in nature. Her dress and makeup are a nod to Sabrina still fresh and exuberant easing into crisp fall, darker days."

For the evening's look, Lauren used Chanel products to help Kiernan's fair skin stand out against her bold brows and lashes. "We are evolving Kiernan’s look into something playful, fearless, and elevated which very much mirrors her energy this year," Lauren said. "I definitely wanted to play with a gorgeously, bewitching factor."

The makeup artist focused her application on three areas, starting with Kiernan's skin. Beginning with a misting spray of Sublimage La Brume Revitalizing Mist to Kiernan's face, Lauren followed that up with Le Blanc Brightening Moisturizing Lotion for skin hydration. She also incorporated some concealer with Le Correcteur De Chanel Concealer and used Éclat Lumiére Highlighter Face Pen for a touch of extra luminous shine to the skin.

For Kiernan's eye makeup, Lauren used shades of shadows from the Les 4 Ombres in Road Movie and Tissé Rivoli. She added additional drama to the look with the help of multiple mascara coats of Le Volume De Chanel in Black. She completed the eyes with a touch of makeup magic and used purple mascara on only the bottom lashes.

The Sabrina-inspired look was finished with the application of products to create a "doll-like" lip shape for Kiernan. Lauren used Le Crayon Lèvres in 93 Beige Innocent for definition, and then applied Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Mademoiselle to the lips with a brush.

Kiernan's look might have been made for an evening of red carpet glam, but Lauren also shared her tips for how you can translate some of Sabrina's makeup bag into your own IRL Halloween beauty routines. "Master a strong, multi-dimensional black lip with three colors," she said."Start with red lip liner on the entire lip, then apply a burgundy-berry matte lipstick, lastly followed by a matte black liner or lipstick. Make the edges clean with a pointed q-tip with remover and moisturizer if necessary. The overall effect is powerfully intense and beautiful on any skin tone."
