Kieran Culkin Shares Witty Comeback to Being Mistaken for His Brother

His 'Succession' fame hasn't stopped him from being mixed up with Macaulay and Rory.

Kieran Culkin stars in hit HBO series Succession, but people still mix him up with his siblings.

While on The Tonight Show, Kieran, 40, was asked by host Jimmy Fallon if people ever confuse him with any of his other famous brothers, Rory, 33, and Macaulay, 42.

"It still happens. I get confused for Rory a lot," he said.

But there was one instance that "blew [his] mind."

"When I was [a kid], I got out of the car at the airport and a woman ran up to me. She noticed me right away—or she thought she recognized me right away—and ran up and said, 'Are you Macluckly Macluckly?,'" he recalled of the hilarious encounter.

"And I had the presence of the mind to go 'Nobody is,'" added Kieran.

Fallon asked if being mistaken for his brothers still happens today.

Kieran joked that when people come up to him and say they worked together, he says, "Oh yeah? Was I a dick? Because that was my brother. That was Rory."

Though Macaulay and Kieran are the two most famous Culkin brothers, Rory is also an actor.

He was in movies like Signs, Scream 4, and Lords of Chaos. Kieran gets mixed up with Rory more than Macaulay because Rory's the other brunette in the family. However, Rory is easy to tell apart from his brothers thanks to his hairstyle: he has a long, wavy mane.

Kieran also talked with Fallon about almost being cast as Cousin Greg (currently portrayed by Nicholas Braun), while Jeremy Strong, who plays Kendall Roy, was initially set on playing Kieran's character, Roman.

"I can't picture being Greg and [Strong] being Roman," said Kieran.

Thankfully, Succession ended up with the perfect cast. Its fourth and final season premieres on Sunday, March 26.
