Keira Knightley's Entire Quarantine Wardrobe Was Chanel

Keira Knightley's Entire Quarantine Wardrobe Was Chanel

Proving that sometimes, celebrities are 100% definitely not just like us, Keira Knightley told Harper's Bazaar U.K. that her quarantine closet wasn't athleisure or even dressed-up pajamas. No, while most people were leaning towards loungewear, Knightley decided that lockdown would be the perfect time to pull out all the Chanel that she's collected over the years.

Knightley explained that she wanted to enjoy the things she has in her closet, instead of dwelling on the "apocalyptic and scary" vibes outside her Chanel-clad world. It was for her kid, she added, saying that she also dressed her little one up with Chanel ribbons braided into her hair and took every opportunity to dress her up in costumes.

"I put on red lipstick every day, and every bit of Chanel that I have in my cupboard, and my daughter Edie had Chanel ribbons plaited into her hair and fairy wings," she said.

It helps that Knightley's been the face of Chanel's Coco Madamoiselle fragrance since 2007. That's plenty of time for her to have tweed jackets, couture gowns, and more hanging in her closet. Even her wedding gown was Chanel.

"I thought, 'What is the point of these lovely things sitting in the wardrobe, when it feels quite apocalyptic and scary outside?' It felt so important to be really happy for the kids!" she explained.

Knightley's husband, James Righton, also skipped out on sweatsuits. Knightley added that he got in on the high fashion fun, too, wearing his "array of peacock-colored Gucci suits" while mommy and daughter were decked out in their designer goods.

Righton and Knightley share two daughters: 6-year-old Edie and 1-year-old Delilah.
