If you’re craving a fall or winter getaway but just aren’t sure how you can swing the cost of flights for you and your kids, we’ve got great news. Scandinavian Airlines is letting kids 11 and under fly free from the US to Europe, and while there are a few catches, it’s a pretty impressive deal.

First, you have to book your flights between September 17-27. You do have to pay the taxes and fees on the flights, but those pale in comparison to the cost of an actual ticket (about $60-$70).

Travel dates are November 1-December 1 (maybe this is the year you finally manage to escape Thanksgiving with the in-laws?) and January 8-March 24.

What’s unique about this program is that you don’t need to have one paid adult ticket for every free child ticket. Each paying adult can bring up to eight kids on the trip with them, which is amazing news for large families. Though if you’re thinking about traveling alone to Europe with eight kids, you *might* want to bring another adult along — just sayin’. Think of the panic-inducing airport bathroom breaks with eight different kids to keep track of!

You can even use their low fare calendar to see which travel days will help you maximize your savings.

The flights depart from Scandinavian Airlines’ gateway cities: Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C., with destinations in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, or Finland.

Just book your flight as normal, and the deal will automatically be applied to any child tickets you add to your trip.

Sure, the prospect of going to Scandinavia in the winter might be a little head-scratching, but think of all of the things you could experience: the Northern lights, drinking hot cocoa surrounded by snow, heck maybe even go for a ride in a reindeer-pulled sleigh. It’s a trip of a lifetime, and thanks to this deal, sharing it with your kids just became more of a possibility.
