Kids detail what they miss most about school: 'I don't really like learning on a computer'

Children from around the country are opening up about how they're dealing with quarantine and what they miss about their lives, pre-coronavirus. From missed birthdays and friends to virtual learning, quarantine has created a whole new set of struggles for kids of all ages. But it’s not all bad. They also highlighted what they are most looking forward to when things return to normal. One little girl assures us, “It’s all going to be ok.” Watch the video above to hear what they said.

- I had my birthday party at home. I had sadness a little bit because I think it could do my birthday at school.

- I miss going to stores and my teachers.

- I miss my friends.

- I don't really like learning on the computer.

- Ballet, and gymnastics, and everything I miss.

- I miss my friend Sam, I miss school.

- I really miss grandma because I can't even hug her. She's my own grandma.

- I just want to be my normal self again.

- I'm a little bit unhappy because my dad works at NYU, and he can't come visit us.

- I've been writing this thing called Coronavirus News. I put it in a tissue box on the front door.

- You might have a child. If you do, then tell them to think good thoughts, because everything is going to be OK.

- One special day was my birthday. My friends did Facetime together, and they all baked a birthday cake for me. But we all decorated them different. It was really special.

- When this is over, I'm gonna have a bunch of sleepovers with my friends.

- Go to grandma's.

- Go to Disney.

- Going to the beach.

- See my friend, Tupo.

- That's it?

- Yeah.

- Do you wanna talk about anything else?

- I think I'm done.
