Last night, in a must-see interview for anyone who owns a MyPillow, Tucker Carlson interviewed Kid Rock on his Fox News program. The rare interview with the singer, rapper, songwriter, and occasional pickle ball player featured questions like:

  • Where all can you put the American flag that isn't a flag pole?

  • What would it be like if the worst person from your Intro to Poli-Sci class interviewed Garth from Wayne's World?

  • Can you purchase a decal from Google (??) that says "Let's Go Brandon" to place on a Rolls Royce?

While all of those questions are pressing in their own rights, the moment in the interview that really stood out is the segment in which the two talk about how Kid Rock hangs out with Donald Trump. As Carlson salivates over the idea of playing golf with the one-termer, Kid Rock reveals this little anecdote from the green.

"[Trump asked] 'What do you think we should do about North Korea?'" Kid Rock revealed. "What! I don't think I'm qualified to answer this." Then Carlson makes several bird noises that he passes off as human laughter, Kid Rock relights his cigar, and Carlson asks how the former president is doing now, in their present-day golf meet ups.

Mind you, in this same interview, Kid Rock also said he doesn't leave the country much, clarifying, "I just have no interest. I get why some bands do... if I wanted to be the biggest deal in every country in the world, I could. But I like my own bed. I'm big in Kentucky man." Carlson responds, "And that's good enough."

So, to recap, Tucker finds it hysterical that Trump solicited foreign policy advice from a man who has previously called himself "Devil Without a Cause" and "the Detroit Cowboy." You know—what else is there to say? I'm not even mad at Kid Rock. I'm grateful he, seemingly, didn't chime in with any advice. And I'm happy that Kid Rock has decided to keep his talents domestic. Don't ever say the man hasn't done good for the rest of the world.
