Kick Off Your Summer with Some Streaming — Here’s Everything Coming to Netflix in June 2019

We don’t know where you are but, where we are, it’s hot. It’s hot and getting hotter. So, call us crazy, but we’re already looking forward to hunkering down in the cool A/C as summer cranks up the temps — and, happily, we’ll have plenty to watch during our self-imposed seasonal sequestering. The list of everything coming to Netflix in June 2019 has been released, chock-full of original shows and movies (as well as old favorites making their way to the streaming service). We’re going to go ahead and file “binge-watching Netflix with the A/C blasting” under alternative forms of summer sunblock. See also: Sign us up.

Of course, we’d be remiss not to mention that Netflix has to give a bunch of titles the boot in order to make room for all the new stuff. Disney lovers, you’ll have to get your final fix of 101 Dalmations, The Fox and the Hound 2, The Jungle Book: Mowgli’s Story — all disappearing on June 1 — and Mulan 2, disappearing June 24. If you still haven’t watched Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, well, you’re definitely tardy to the party. But you can still squeeze it in up to June 5. If you want to plot your time accordingly, you’ll find the full list of what’s leaving here.

But if you’re ready to start mapping out your binge-watching schedule for the month of June, you’ll find all of the new arrivals coming to Netflix right after our top picks.

The Chef Show (June 7)

If you loved the movie Chef starring Jon Favreau, you’re going to love this new Netflix Original series. The Chef Show reunites Favreau and award-winning Chef Roy Choi, who served as a culinary consultant for Favreau’s 2014 foodie film. This new adventure will see the pair travel across the country to favorite dining destinations and culinary inspirations, sharing meals with some of their famous friends along the way — think Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert Downey Jr., Tom Holland and more.

Murder Mystery (June 14)

Not gonna lie; we’ve been waiting for this film to drop since the first filming photos of Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler were leaked last year. In this modern day whodunit, he plays a NYC cop who takes his wife (Aniston) on a long overdue European vacay. But when a chance meeting turns into an invite aboard a billionaire’s yacht and that billionaire winds up dead, the couple becomes prime suspects. We already know Aniston and Sandler have great onscreen chemistry thanks to their 2011 rom-com Just Go With It, so this should be a fun watch.

Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce: Season 5 (June 14)

If you’re anything like us, you probably weren’t quite ready to say goodbye to Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce just yet. Well, we’re all in luck! Although the series has technically taken its final bow, we can rewatch the fifth and final season when it hits Netflix on June 14. (Thank goodness we’re getting our Retta, aka Barb, fix on the current hit Good Girls!)

The Missing: Season 3 (June 17)

In case you’ve somehow been missing this gem of a show, now is your time to get all caught up. To be clear, the crime-drama will break your heart into a million pieces. But don’t let that deter you — Tchéky Karyo’s French detective Julien Baptiste is totally riveting. We’re already filled with suspense over his season three trek to Amsterdam, where he’ll dig into the criminal underworld of the red-light district in search of a missing prostitute. We pulled a trailer from season two since there inexplicably seems to be no trailer for season three, but you get the gist.

Mr. Iglesias (June 1)

When we need a good laugh, we’re going to cue up Mr. Iglesias. It stars the always hilarious Gabriel Iglesias as a high school math teacher who takes on the challenge of mentoring gifted but misfit kids. He works hard to help them reach their full potential, so it sounds just as heartwarming as it is sure to funny. Just check out the trailer for one of Iglesias’ stand-up specials on Netflix to get a sense of how much gut-busting you’re in for!
