Khloe Kardashian revealed baby True's first word and it's, uh, uncomfortable

True Thompson just celebrated a major milestone: her first word. Cue the collective awwws. In a new blog post, Khloé Kardashian revealed that the 7-month-old tot is officially talking—and her first word is a bit…controversial. In her post, endearingly titled “True’s Talking!,” Kardashian writes,

“I can't believe my baby is seven-months-old! True now has three teeth and she's going to crawl any second. She also smiles constantly, but I still can't get that little munchkin to laugh unless I tickle her. Maybe I'm just not funny, LOL. She also says ‘dada,’ but I think she means ‘mama.’”

The major takeaway here (besides the fact that True has three teeth): Baby True’s first official word was “dada.” Kardashian welcomed baby True with partner Tristan Thompson in April. But as many Kardashian konnoisseurs will recall, Thompson faced cheating allegations after photos of him with another woman surfaced just days before Kardashian gave birth.

After the fallout, a source told People that the Kardashians are trying to be civil to the NBA player for Khloé’s sake. “Khloé just wants to be supported in the decisions that she makes regarding Tristan. She always understood that her family was very upset and defensive after he cheated. That situation was such a nightmare for Khloé at a time that should have been her happiest,” said the source.

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star reportedly spent Thanksgiving with Thompson as well. On November 23rd, she took to Twitter to dispel all criticisms surrounding the decision, writing: “Y’all are reaching now. I’ve spent the past 3 years in Cleveland for Thanksgiving. Not sure why people are trying to create drama between my family and I. My sisters and I are perfectly fine thank you! All of their families were able to travel but TT being in season, he can not.”

Well, the duo certainly seems to be on good terms. Perhaps baby True’s “dada” isn’t that big of a deal after all. But given the couple’s tumultuous history, we’re still shook.
