Khloé Kardashian is being sued by her former assistant, Matthew Manhard, who alleges that the Good American founder, 38, underpaid him.

According to a lawsuit that was obtained by TMZ, Manhard claims that Kardashian fired him after he attempted to return to work following a knee injury. Manhard says that he worked as the reality star’s household assistant from January 2019 until his firing in November 2022.

Khloé Kardashian Sued By Former Household Assistant: Here’s What We Know

Manhard claims that he dislocated and fractured his knee in May 2022. He says that he updated his employer, Kardashian, about the incident shortly after it happened.

He let her know that his injury required surgery and hospitalization, so he would need a few months to recover (and couldn’t come in to work). When he attempted to return to work in November, he says that his role was terminated.

A spokesperson for Kardashian, however, told TMZ, “Toward the end of his employment, he was on a leave of absence for an extended period of time and the role eventually needed to be replaced. We will not tolerate false accusations and will prove that this is a frivolous lawsuit.”

Manhard also alleges that Kardashian did not pay him overtime although he was working 12-hour days. With that said, he noted that she violated multiple California labor laws. He was often unable to take legally required breaks because she gave him so many tasks, he also claims.

Kardashian’s legal representative said, per the outlet, “It’s unfortunate to learn that a former employee would choose to go this route. Matthew was properly classified and compensated for his role.”

Kardashian's History Of Run-Ins With The Legal System

This lawsuit is obviously not Kardashian's first, as a photo agency sued her in 2018, after she uploaded a paparazzi-snapped pic of her and her sister Kourtney, 43, to Instagram without giving credit.

In 2021, the mom of two threatened to to sue a paternity accuser of her ex Tristan Thompson’s. That same year, she also distributed takedown notices to multiple sites after they used and posted an unedited photo of her. (Yikes!)
