Khloé Kardashian Wants You to Know She Is Embracing Her Pregnancy Cellulite

The reality star is six months pregnant and counting.

Khloé Kardashian is now nearly seven months pregnant, and she's been taking note of the changes her body is going through as it gestates a new human. On Thursday night, the reality star took to Twitter to comment on her cellulite.

"I now have cellulite on my legs! Cute! Cute!" she tweeted. "'Pregnancy may make cellulite look worse for a while, because the weight that you gain in pregnancy could make it more noticeable.'" The quote she's citing appears to come from a post on the website, which addresses the common phenomenon of more intense dimpling of the skin during pregnancy. The reality star followed up with a tweet explaining that, like many women, she also had cellulite before she became pregnant. "I feel like I've always had cellulite but it's way more prominent at the moment 🤦🏼‍♀️," she wrote, before adding, "So far no stretch marks. So I'm happy about that 🤞🏽 the perks of being chubby previously. Lol my tummy knows how to stretch."

Now, not everyone would use the word "chubby" to describe Kardashian — regardless of that terminology's connotations, which is a separate yet still important conversation — and not everyone is a fan of her approach to talking about bodies. Although she called her cellulite "cute" in her tweet, some Twitter users weren't convinced that her message was really celebrating pregnant bodies. "Stretch marks are tiger stripes you earn as a mom," one wrote. "I wish celebrities would embrace pregnancy 🤰 and not worry about their body image." Kardashian replied, "How do you know that I'm not embracing it? I am enjoying every moment! I love it all. My body is a real body just as yours is. Everywoman [sic] has different shapes and sizes. That's the beauty of us being women."

Fans have also taken issue with an Instagram post Kardashian shared on Thursday, which included a photo of her from before her pregnancy and the caption "body, I miss you." "You should not miss your old body because look at the miracle your wonderful body is producing for you," one commenter weighed in. "Enjoy the body you’re in now, you’ve been wanting this for soo long," another encouraged.

Then, there's the controversy around Kardashian's weight-loss reality show, Revenge Body. Critics have accused the show of promoting body insecurity and the idea that "people's perception of you is what is most important," as one Twitter user put it.

As mixed as her body-image messages may be, Kardashian does seem to be enjoying her pregnancy, something all expecting mothers deserve. She concluded her cellulite tweet thread with a note about how excited she is to be a mom: "Don't mind me... just growing a human over here!!" she wrote. "Still, I almost can't believe it. I know im a nerd but im just so excited 💜💕💜."
