In recent months, many customers have expressed frustrations about price hikes at fast food restaurants. What used to be a cheap and convenient way to feed your family has become nearly as expensive as eating at a sit-down restaurant, thanks to inflation and franchisees setting higher prices.

In late 2023, McDonald’s came under fire because its so-called “Dollar Menu” no longer sold a single item for just $1. And, despite fast food chains releasing deals for its in-app customers and rewards members, menu prices don’t seem to be going down.

As the value menu appears to be disappearing at many restaurants, Kentucky Fried Chicken is committed to ensuring its customers still get the most bang for their buck. That's why it is introducing its “Taste of KFC Deals” menu, which is designed to feed your family for just $20.

KFC Introduces Taste of KFC Deals Menu

The $20 Family Meal includes six pieces of finger-lickin' good fried chicken (that’s two thighs, two drumsticks, one breast, and one wing), four sides of your choice (like mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, coleslaw, mac and cheese, or fries), and four biscuits.

If you aren’t looking to feed a family but rather just one or two people, KFC has a value option for you, too. Its Meal For One features two pieces of fried chicken (one drumstick and one thigh), made with the Colonel’s signature 11 herbs and spices, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a buttery biscuit for just $4.99.

The Meal For Two doubles that with four pieces of Original Recipe fried chicken (one drumstick, one thigh, one breast, one wing), mashed potatoes and gravy, and two biscuits. The two-person meal deal’s price will vary by location.

The Taste of KFC Deals meals are a permanent addition to KFC’s menu, but the fried chicken chain is also offering a limited-time deal to save you even more. On Tuesdays, KFC will run a special $10 deal wherein you can get an eight-piece bucket of drumsticks and thighs for just $10.

While many fast food chains are putting an emphasis on rewards programs and apps, KFC’s value menu will be available both online (on its site and in the KFC app) and in the restaurant. So, you don’t have to order ahead or join the rewards program if you prefer not to.

However, joining KFC’s Rewards does have its perks. Not only will you earn points you can redeem for free food, but also KFC is currently giving guests the chance to try its new Saucy Nuggets for free with any $10 purchase. So, checking out those exclusive in-app offers isn’t a bad thing to do before heading to your local Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Between all that worrying about fast food surge pricing and if you’ll have to start paying for extra sauce at your favorite chain, at least we can count on Colonel Sanders for an inexpensive meal.
