KFC Made A Colonel Sanders Bearskin Rug With The Colonel's Actual Head Attached To It
Nothing says romance on Valentine’s Day like enjoying a bottle of Champagne in front of a fireplace with the person you love - oh, and Colonel Sanders. KFC is bringing the fried chicken fast food mascot to date night with a faux-bearskin rug.
The rug is fluffy white and features Colonel Sanders’ (whose full name is Colonel Harland Sanders) head and limbs. You can’t make this stuff up.
In order to get your hands on one of these coveted rugs, you’ll have to win it. Head to Reddit and submit your “unique and wacky” content. There are three ways to enter the contest:
Photoshop battle: Transform an image of the Colonel Sanders rug into a funny/crazy/romantic masterpiece
Storytelling challenge: KFC starts the story, and you complete the narrative to turn it into a romantic vignette
Drawing duel: Submit a one-of-a-kind art piece of your ideal romantic evening, inspired by the Colonel Sanders faux bearskin rug
Three winners will receive the rug, as well as two fried-chicken pajama onesies, a gift card for KFC for two for a year, and a yearly subscription to an online streaming service. You’ll be able to celebrate Valentine’s Day every day! What a time to be alive!
“I’m no dating expert, but the only thing I can think of that’s more romantic than eating fried chicken on Valentine’s Day, is eating fried chicken on a faux-bearskin rug created in the likeness of the greatest chicken salesman of all time - Colonel Sanders,” Andrea Zahumensky, U.S. chief marketing officer of KFC, said in a press release.
