Keystone Ski Resort, Colorado, Will Open This Wednesday, November 1st

Keystone Ski Resort, Colorado, has announced that they will open for skiing and riding on November 1st.

"After more than a foot of new snow and the return to cold temperatures for snowmaking over the weekend, Keystone Resort announced today that it will open for the 2023-24 winter season on Wednesday, Nov. 1 with 2 miles of skiing and riding on the signature Schoolmarm and Silver Spoon trails," the resort wrote in an October 30th press release.

Keystone will also offer a hike-to-terrain park on Spring Dipper for the freestyle fanatics out there, plus a beginners' zone via the Kokomo Carpet.

The early season terrain offerings will be served by the River Run Gondola and the Montezuma Express Lift. From Wednesday onwards, Keystone will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Night skiing, which offers lift access until 7 p.m., resumes after Thanksgiving at the resort.

Top-to-bottom skiing won't be available on Wednesday -- at the end of the day, skiers will download to the base via the River Run Gondola.

Free donuts and coffee are on tap for those who arrive early for opening day, with DJ sets taking place at the River Run base area and Summit House.

Keystone plants to continue making snow, aiming to open the Mountain House base area in mid-November.
