Kevin Jonas’s Daughter Alena Spilled the Jonas Brothers Reunion Secret at Kindergarten

When news of the official Jonas Brothers reunion broke, fans of the trio totally lost it. The group hadn’t made any new music since splitting in 2013, and the three brothers had gone their own ways: Nick and Joe to solo careers and Kevin to a life as husband and new father. The brothers eventually found their way back together, and the reunion was well underway — a well-kept secret that one Jonas actually started sharing before it was time.

The Jonas in question isn’t Frankie, the “Bonus Jonas,” nor is it either Jonas parent. It’s Kevin’s daughter, Alena, who spilled the beans about the reunion to her kindergarten class. The brothers stopped by The Tonight Show to chat about their new album Happiness Begins and documentary Chasing Happiness, and it was revealed that five-year-old Alena was dishing about the reunion to her schoolmates. Hey, she’s just excited about her dad’s job!

“She’s so proud … she did tell her entire school that the Jonas Brothers were coming back — before the Jonas Brothers were [coming back],” Kevin said. Oops!

Thankfully, Alena’s classmates kept the secret under wraps; then again, they probably weren’t exactly sure who the Jonas Brothers were. “We were trying to keep it a secret for basically a year,” Nick said. “We were making this documentary, making the album. And we’re like, ‘We got this on lock. No one’s gonna tell.’ Kevin comes home and says, ‘Guys, Alena told her whole class.’ Luckily, those 5-year-olds … they’re tight-lipped.”

The secret was safe with Alena’s class and announced in due time, and now the JoBros reunion is well underway; Happiness Begins dropped on Friday, June 7, and the group will be touring the United States from August until December. Maybe the Brothers can stop by Alena’s school and play a concert to thank them for their excellent secret-keeping skills!
