We're finally getting some good news about Jamie Foxx, who was first hospitalized nearly a month ago with an undisclosed medical ailment and has yet to be released.

On Wednesday, Foxx's longtime friend Kevin Hart appeared on Jake Paul's Impaulsive podcast, where—after discussing his own life-threatening 2019 car accident—he was asked to give an update on the 55-year-old actor's condition.

"I think I'm very fortunate to have the relationship that I have with Jamie, to be able to just check on him and stuff like that," Hart explained. "Because Jamie's always been a private person to a certain degree."

"But I think the dope thing is that he’s getting better in his situation, and you know, everybody’s prayers, everybody’s love, energy—all that stuff is seen and felt," the comedian continued. "So in this case, man, you just want the guy to get out of the situation he’s in and get back home.”

While Hart admitted that he also didn't know the exact details of what happened to Foxx, he said that to his own knowledge, Foxx is on the right track.

"My love, synergy, energy goes out to him. He’s needed. He’s necessary," he added. "I know that he knows that, and I know that he feels that. Because there’s been an outcry, an outpour of support in this regard, so I can only hope that it continues."

Reports that Foxx had been hospitalized first surfaced on April 12, while he was in Atlanta filming the action flick Back in Action. Though updates on his health have been few and far between, friends and family have asked that fans pray for Foxx amid an outpouring of love and support. The actor himself posted an Instagram on May 3 thanking fans for their prayers and saying he was "feeling blessed."

If Hart's update is any indication, it sounds like he's the path to recovery.
