Danielle and Kevin said what inspired them to write the now-bestselling children’s book, telling Amazon Live, “The inspiration was kind of a true story in a way, but we kind of changed it for the book. Our oldest daughter Alena was having a dance recital and getting very nervous, practicing every day to the point where she was getting very critical of herself and kind of forgot why she was doing [a] dance in the first place, which was to have a great time. This is what the book is all about – overcoming some of those anxieties and fears, but at the same time, getting together with the people you love and remembering to have a good time with whatever you’re doing.”

Danielle and Kevin met in The Bahamas back in 2007, marrying two years later on Long Island, NY. They have two daughters together named Alena Rose, 9, and Valentina Angelina, 5.
