Kevin Costner's attorney weighed in on the claims that the 'Yellowstone' star was holding up production for season five.

Kevin Costner's lawyer is lassoing up rumors.

After claims circulated that the Yellowstone star was holding up production of the series' fifth season, the actor's attorney Marty Singer has stepped in to declare the drama as false.

"The idea that Kevin was only willing to work one week on the second half of season five of Yellowstone is an absolute lie," the attorney shared with Puck.News. This response followed an exposé published Feb. 21 on the site that alleged Costner's unprofessional behavior.

And, according to the attorney, the allegations are simply "ridiculous," adding, "and anyone suggesting it shouldn’t be believed for one second."

"As everyone who knows anything about Kevin is well aware, he is incredibly passionate about the show," Singer continue, "and has always gone way above and beyond to ensure its success."

This statement also comes after Deadline reported on Feb. 6 that Costner only wanted to shoot for 50 days for the first part of the fifth season, despite having limited himself already to 65 days of shooting Yellowstone. For the second batch of episodes, Costner reportedly only wanted to spend a week shooting.

Deadline had also noted Yellowstone co-creator and showrunner Taylor Sheridan was eyeing a way to end the show with its current fifth season, while introducing a spin-off series starring Matthew McConaughey.

However, a Paramount Network spokesperson denied these claims, as they previously noted, "We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come. Thanks to the brilliant mind of Taylor Sheridan, we are always working on franchise expansions of this incredible world he has built. Matthew McConaughey is a phenomenal talent with whom we’d love to partner."
