Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner Reach Child Support Agreement
Kevin Costner and Christine Baumgartner have reportedly reached an agreement in regard to how much the actor will pay Baumgartner in child support after their divorce.
According to documents obtained by Fox News, Judge Thomas Anderle formally ruled that Costner will be required to pay his ex-wife $129,755 per month to care for their three kids, Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13.
This is half of Baumgartner's requested $248,000 per month. The 49-year-old also requested that Costner pay for 100% of their children's schooling, health care, and expenses for sports and extracurricular activities, while the judge ruled that the expenses will be split evenly between the two.
Along with child support, Costner will also pay Baumgartner $200,000 in attorney's fees and $100,000 in forensic accounting costs.
Court documents state that child support payments will be made on the "first of each month," with "credit for sums paid between July 1 and July 12." Previously, Baumgartner requested that Costner's payments to her be made via automatic transfer, which was denied.
TMZ notes that the ruling is "tentative" and subject to another upcoming hearing.
At the beginning of May, Baumgartner filed for divorce from her husband of 18 years, citing "irreconcilable differences." The couple had a prenuptial agreement that stated that Baumgartner had to vacate the home within 30 days of filing for divorce, which the two clashed over recently as Costner attempted to evict his soon-to-be ex-wife.
Costner has also been dealing with some issues at work, with the actor announcing that he will be leaving his hit television series Yellowstone after Season 5.
