Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick Mourn Loss of Family Pet

Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick have bid their dog Lilly adieu, as the canine was laid to rest.

On Sunday, the couple took to their respective Instagram accounts to post tributes to the deceased family companion.

Bacon, 64, included several personal pictures of his time with the four-legged furry friend in his social media post—from when she was just a small pup until now—including a shot of himself cuddling with his animal buddy. "Goodbye sweet Lilly. We miss you already," he captioned the series of photos.

Sedgwick's post noted how much Lilly meant to her, as she shared one single adorable picture of the pooch relaxing in a bed.

"Had to say goodbye to our sweet crazy girl today. While she took a piece of my heart with her, it was worth it! RIP Lily 💕," the actress wrote alongside the capture.

Fans and followers flooded the comments sending heartfelt condolences and love during this mourning period, with many relating to the pain felt after the loss of a dear pet.

Bacon and Sedgwick—who've been married for 34 years—are avid animal-lovers, having shared videos in the past from their family's Connecticut farm.

On his most recent birthday, the Footloose actor posted a video singing to his goats as he sat Indian-style in the grass playing a ukulele to ring in his 64th year. To commemorate the big day, he appropriately chose "When I'm Sixty Four" by The Beatles for the musical string number.

All losses can be tough, but on the bright side, at least all dogs go to heaven.
