New year, renewed commitment to trying keto (again). The low-carb, high-protein diet isn’t so bad…except for missing out on all those carb-y snacks and desserts. We’ve got just the fix. Introducing Fat Snax, purveyor of keto-friendly (and delicious) crackers, cookies and brownies.

High-fat, low-carb ingredients like almond flour, butter and coconut flour are used in all Fat Snax products, so they’re filling and tasty without knocking you out of ketosis. Each snack or treat only has .3 to 3 net carbs each. They’re also all grain- and gluten-free, as well as pretty modest in calories despite their full-fat ingredients. Each cookie contains 90 to 100 calories a pop, as well as 1 to 2 grams of fiber and 2 to 3 grams of protein. Better yet, they’re all sugar-free. The crackers are 130 calories a serving and boast 5 grams of protein, 3 grams of fiber and 0 grams of sugar. As appealing as that sounds, we’ve all been burned by diet-friendly treats that make us regret snacking altogether. So, after hearing the buzz behind Fat Snax—fans call its cheese crackers “keto Cheez-Its”—we had to see if the line lived up to the hype.

Fat Snax are available online (save 10 percent by ordering a recurring subscription) and at a handful of retail stores like Whole Foods, Kroger and Market Basket. The products are a bit on the pricy side compared to standard cookies and crackers (it comes out to $1.12 a cookie and $1.70 per serving, respectively), but it’s worth it if you’re on a low-carb diet and your usual snacks are off limits. Take a gander at our honest review before filling up your cart.

1. Crackers

These crispy almond flour crackers are pretty damn addictive in any flavor, but we’re not exaggerating when we say we inhaled the whole bag of cheddar crackers in one sitting. They’re salty, cheesy, buttery and everything you could want in a savory snack, TBH. They’re not as glossy as Cheez-Its; they have a rougher texture and look but still melt in your mouth the moment you start chewing. While the cheddar crackers blew us away, the original sea salt and everything flavors are also impressive. The original is similar to a thicker, buttery Wheat Thin. The everything crackers smell like everything bagels (thanks to seasonings like garlic, onion and sesame seeds) and would be great topped with cream cheese. A 17-cracker serving of any flavor only contains 2 to 3 carbs.

2. Cookies

When fruit for dessert just isn’t cutting it anymore, these sugar-free, low-carb goodies are a tasty alternative. The cookies are soft-baked and come in four flavors: chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, peanut butter and lemony lemon. The lemon cookies are mildly sweet and have a pleasant citrus scent that hits the nose the second you open the package. The chocolate chip ones are subtly chocolatey, sort of like a better-for-you version of chewy Chips Ahoy, only with a lighter mouthfeel. The double chocolate chip cookies were our favorite, as the high-fat Dutch cocoa and dark cocoa go a long way in the flavor department. The peanut butter cookies are a bit on the bland side (but we’re betting a little creamy PB on top could help drive the flavor home).

Mini cookies are also available in chocolate chip, double chocolate chip and snickerdoodle flavors. Each cookie (or seven mini cookies) has 1 to 2 net carbs each. And if your sweet tooth still isn’t satisfied, add the Brownie Bites or Blondie Bites to your cart, too. Each bite only has .3 net carbs.
