We’ve always admired Kerry Washington and fell in love with Olivia Pope on Scandal. Now that the end of the show is in sight (sniff), Washington revealed which of Pope’s belongings she wants to take from set once filming is over.
She revealed the info during her recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Any guesses as to what it might be? Hint: We know that IRL, Washington has ~amazing~ taste, from her sultry red thigh-high boots to her easy lipstick layering trick. So…
“Well, I can’t tell you on national television because then when the Prada bags are missing…” Washington joked with Meyers. “Well, that doesn’t seem like a memento, that just seems like you’re just stealing a purse,” he replied.
Washington elaborated and explained her reasoning.
“It’s not one purse. It’s like 20 purses in various colors to match every outfit. No, no, no, they mean a lot to me, these bags. Seven years of memories in every single beautiful bag. She is a very well-dressed character.”
We could NOT agree more!

So, yup, the purses are such a key element to Pope’s wardrobe, we don’t blame Washington a bit for wanting to keep them once the show ends. Best. Souvenirs. Ever!

Of course, it goes without saying that we will miss Scandal A LOT. After seven seasons, it’s not going to be easy to say goodbye.
