As the ongoing coronavirus pandemic prompts people to try their hands at gardening, Kensington Palace is reminding fans that Kate Middleton is one royal with two green thumbs.

Today, the Cambridges' social media accounts shared a previously unseen photo of the Duchess with her sleeves rolled up, working on her Back to Nature Garden, a 2019 project designed to highlight the physical and mental benefits of spending time nature, and to encourage kids to play outside.

The never-before-seen pic of Kate in jeans, sneakers, and a comfy top, comes with a reminder that the Chelsea Flower Show is going digital this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In absence of their annual event, where Kate showcased the garden last year, the Royal Horticultural Society is running a whole slate of digital programming from Q&A sessions with gardening advisors to demonstrations and virtual nursery tours. Head over to their Twitter account to see what's happening today.

As patron of the Royal Horticulture Society, the Queen was "pleased" to hear of the group's pivot to providing digital resources, given the circumstances.

“I am sure that my grandmother, Queen Mary, who first attended the Chelsea Flower Show in 1916, would be delighted that many people today have an enthusiasm for horticulture, and that gardening remains a popular pastime in the United Kingdom,” the British monarch wrote in a statement earlier this week.

“As you adapt to the present circumstances, I hope you find this unique event enjoyable and interesting.”
