In advance of Prince Louis's christening later today, Kensington Palace has announced the names of the royal baby's godparents.

The list includes members of the Cambridge's inner social circle like Nicholas van Cutsem, who has been close friends with Prince William and Prince Harry for years as well as Kate's cousin Lucy.

Here's a full list:

- Mr. Nicholas van Cutsem
- Mr. Guy Pelly
- Mr. Harry Aubrey-Fletcher
- The Lady Laura Meade
- Mrs. Robert Carter
- Miss Lucy Middleton

In comparison, Princess Charlotte has five godparents: Princess Diana's niece, the Honourable Laura Fellowes; the Duchess of Cambridge's cousin Adam Middleton; Prince William's childhood Thomas van Straubenzee; James Meade, another close friend of Williams; and Duchess Kate's good friend Sophie Carter.

And Prince George has seven: Oliver Baker, a friend of Will and Kate's from college; Kate's friend Emilia Jardine-Paterson; Hugh Grosvenor, the 7th Duke of Westminster; Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Prince William's former Will and Kate's former private secretary; Princess Diana's close friend Julia Samuel; Prince William's cousin, Zara Tindall; and Prince William's longtime friend William van Cutsem.

Prince Louis will be baptized at 4 p.m. in the Chapel Royal in St. James’s Palace on Monday. The ceremony will be performed by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby.

In addition to the godparents listed above and their spouses, the Prince of Wales, Camilla, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are all expected to attend. As are the Duchess of Cambridge's parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, her brother James, her sister Pippa, and brother-in-law James Matthews.

While some might have expected Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to serve as little Louis's godparents, that would have been highly unlikely, as they already play the role of aunt and uncle to the royal baby.
