Kenny Rogers' Widow Says She Found Love Again With His Blessing

Kenny Rogers' widow Wanda Miller has found new love.

In an interview with People, the 56-year-old revealed she's "dating someone very special."

She added, "Kenny gave me his very best and he wanted me to move on and be happy. That's a really big man to be able to say those words and mean it. I think it just shows the kind of guy he was."

She recalled that one day, Rogers paused the TV and had a serious chat with her, giving his blessing for her to move one upon his passing: "He said, 'I'm not going to be here forever. I want you to be happy. You're young. I want you to have a full life past me.'

"I was like 'What? I don't want to talk about that. Turn the TV back on,'" she remembered telling him.

Though she didn't share who her new partner is, Miller explained that they were introduced by one of Roger's friends. "He introduced me to a friend of his and he said, 'Look, if you don't date each other, you'll be friends forever. He is going to be in your friend arsenal forever,'" she noted. "And we became friends at first."

She added that some of her boyfriend's traits remind her of her late husband, including his "leadership and his positive energy."

Rogers died in March 20, 2020 of natural causes tied to health. Miller was the singer's fifth wife, with a 28-year age gap between them, but their marriage became his longest lasting one.

The couple met in 1993, when Rogers was on a blind date at Pricci Restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. The date wasn't a match, but Miller, who was working as a hostess, caught Roger's eye. Instead of approaching her, he called the restaurant and left his number for her. The pair hit it off right away, marrying five years later. In 2004, they had twin sons Justin and Jordan.
