The connection between recording artist Kendrick Lamar and the city of Los Angeles is well documented. The Compton-born rapper represents his hometown through music and his fashion choices.

Earlier today, media and fans spotted "K-Dot" rocking some of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant's earliest signature sneakers at Chanel's Paris Fashion Week show. Check out the social media post from Complex Sneakers below for a detailed look at his old-school adidas kicks.

We can see in the post above that "Kung Fu Kenny" wore the adidas Crazy 8 in the '1998 All-Star Game' colorway. Long before Bryant made history with Nike, he began his career with adidas. The All-Star Game colorway is a nod to the historic 1998 exhibition game played in New York City.

It has been some time since adidas released that specific colorway, but the brand has not held back on other styles and models from its archives. Online shoppers can choose between several retro sneakers popularized by Bryant on the adidas website.

Between teasing a new song and making headlines for his sartorial style, "King Kendrick" has had a busy week in Paris. Luckily for his loyal fans, the award-winning rapper is remaining true to his city. Follow Men's Journal Sneakers for all your daily footwear news.
