Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free Team With 'South Park' Creators for Comedy Film

Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free's pgLang, South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker and Paramount Pictures are teaming up for a feature film.

The forthcoming title is a live action comedy that "will depict the past and present coming to a head when a young black man who is interning as a slave reenactor at a living history museum discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his." K-Dot, Free, Stone and Parker of Park County will produce the film while Vernon Chatman will pen the script, and production is set to begin in Spring 2022. Paramount Pictures will handle theatrical distribution, home entertainment and television licensing rights, while its streaming platform Paramount+ will acquire the streaming rights.
