Kendra Wilkinson Said She & Ex-Husband Hank Had to Make This Compromise to ‘Make the Kids’ Lives Great’

Kendra Wilkinson and her ex-husband Hank have set aside this to be the best co-parent they can be, and Wilkinson even talked about how her new journey helped influence her parenting style
While in an interview with In Touch’s Lindsay Hoffman on March 28, Wilkinson talked about how she’s been embracing a healthier, more authentic version of herself, and how it’s affected her co-parenting relationship with her ex-husband Hank Baskett.

“We’re doing a great job. He’s very supportive, I’m very supportive, and we just keep things really healthy. It’s as simple as working together and putting your issues aside to make the kids’ lives great,” she said, shining a spotlight on how they put their issues aside for their kids, even despite their insanely messy breakup.
She added that this new, mental-health-based journey has made her a “new Kendra,” saying, “The new Kendra is about finding who I am in real life and not going over the top. Just not losing touch with my authentic self.” Because of this years-long journey, she’s worked harder to be supportive of herself, her kids, and her co-parent.
For those who don’t know, Wilkinson and Baskett were married from 2009 to 2018, and welcomed two children during their marriage: Henry Randall “Hank” Baskett IV, born Dec 2009, and Alijah Mary Baskett, born in May 2014.
In a previous clip obtained by People, Wilkinson talked about this some more, saying, “Balancing work and kids is hard work but I’m 36 now, not 19 — the girl you saw dancing around on the tables — anymore. I’m not. I have a different mind frame.”
She added, “I want to respect myself. I want to love myself. I want to take care of my two kids. I want to be a little bit more disciplined.
