Kendall Jenner's soaking wet blue trench coat is a literal take on the wet look

We are officially a week into October and a week into autumn. And after a delayed summer, our wardrobes are finally starting to take note of the change in season. We're saying goodbye to our sandals (*sob*) and welcoming back our boots, coats and cardigans.
And we're not the only ones. After sharing countless bikini pics over the past few months and making the no trousers trend her go-to look, Kendall Jenner's latest 'fit saw the model opt for more seasonal attire. Namely, a trench coat.
As well as being weather-appropriate – read: lightweight and waterproof, one of the many reasons we love a trench is for its versatility – a trench is also perfect city attire. Ideal as Kenny's outing in the attire took place in New York.
But rather than a casual city stroll, Kendall instead decided to splash around in a fountain with her socks and loafers *still* on.
Yep, Kendall's stylish outfit consisted of the aforementioned pale blue trench coat layered over a black sleeveless round-neck top and black tailored shorts. She wore black ankle socks with a pair of chunky black loafers. AKA one of AW23's biggest footwear trends.
Stylish outfit aside (it is Kendall we're talking about after all, when does she ever not look good?!), it was her seemingly spontaneous swim that really caught our attention. We said a trench was versatile, but we wouldn't advise swimming in one.
Confused? Don't worry. It turns out Kendall was actually shooting with Calvin Klein, hence the reason for her dip in the fountain. In between takes, she could be seen clutching a hot water bottle and wrapped in a dressing gown.
Talk about a literal take on the wet look. We're not sure we'd risk hypothermia for a fashion trend.
