Kendall Jenner Wore Long Ponytail Hair at Met Gala 2018

Hair to the heavens.

Kendall Jenner has never stepped onto a red carpet and not turned heads, and the Met Gala 2018 is no exception. This time, though, she looks completely different than we've ever seen her before

The 21-year-old model traded her usual lob for waist-length locks, which are the result of either A) sorcery or B) a well-trained stylist and some A+ extensions. (It's most likely the latter, but still.) She fastened her super-sized strands into a sleek low ponytail, which made her smoky eye, glossy lip, and flawless highlight look even more dramatic. Paired with a white Louis Vuitton off-the-shoulder top and exaggerated bell bottoms (she arrived on the arm of designer Virgil Abloh), her entire head-to-toe look screamed "streamlined chic."

Though this may be her first time showing off such major extensions, Kendall is a Met Ball Veteran. Kendall celebrated her first Met Gala old-school glam style, in a light pink Topshop gown and 60's bouffant. The following year, she touched on the gala's punk theme with a green rhinestone Calvin Klein dress and sleek shoulder skimming locks. And in 2016, she wore a blue and white cut-out Versace dress with a sleek high-ponytail.

Last year Kendall's sheer La Perla dress, which she paired with tousled curls and a shocking red lip, stirred up controversy among haters. Some people accused her of copying Rose McGowan's 1998 MTV VMA's dress, and others saw it as an opportunity to slut-shame the young model (... seriously?).

"I always like something that’s a little controversial so, that’s kind of that," she said of last year's dress.

The thing Kendall and her XL locks are most excited for this year? The annual bathroom selfie, which she says is always her favorite Met Gala memory.
