Kendall Jenner Wears Skimpy Bikini Bottoms Over Sequin Shorts Jumpsuit
On May 1, all the stars gathered at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the Met Gala, and this year's theme was "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty."
There were plenty of models at the event, including Kendall Jenner, who went for a revealing, pantless, and fully sequined bodysuit from Marc Jacobs this year. The outfit also had a white collar that was a perfect reference to Karl Lagerfeld, as well as long billowing sleeves and very high heels.
But it's what Jenner wore to the Met Gala afterparty that really got people talking.
Jenner changed her outfit after the fashionable function for a different look, drawing inspiration from old Chanel when she wore a sequined, see-through short bodysuit, covered with a small pair of black bikini bottoms (or maybe, simply thong underwear?). The top part of the jumpsuit was also covered in a black harness, with pearls on thin straps over the shoulders.
The outfit is a direct reference to a 1994 Chanel runway look, as reported by British Vogue, but Jenner made it even more risqué, as the original look's underwear covered the model's entire behind, while Jenner wore more of a cheeky style of bottoms.
The afterparty look was made by London-based design talent, Nensi Dojaka.
While Jenner's afterparty ensemble got plenty of attention, so did her date, Bad Bunny. The two have been surrounded by romance rumors for weeks now, and although they didn't walk together on the Met Gala red carpet, Jenner and Bad Bunny left the hotel for the afterparty together.
At the beginning of March, the two were spotted kissing in Los Angeles after what was likely a date, before going on a cuddly outing to ride horses at the start of the next month.
The two have yet to publicly confirm their presumed romance.
