Kendall Jenner Rocks a Patriotic Dress on the Paris Runway

Kendall Jenner is killing it in Paris this week, walking the couture runways for legendary fashion houses like Givenchy and making street-style statements with sheer shirts and shaggy bomber jackets during what has to be her minimal downtime. On Tuesday, the reality star turned catwalk queen headlined yet another show: For Alexandre Vauthier, the 21-year-old strutted her stuff in a red, white, blue (and black) super mini dress.

Vauthier, a French-born designer who logged eight years with Jean Paul Gaultier before branching out on his own in 2009, is known for his super-sexy, over-the-top glam, body-con dresses, and Jenner’s Wonder Woman-esque runway look was no exception. The model closed the show (which also featured fellow model-of-the-moment Bella Hadid) in a thigh-skimming, itsy-bitsy, teeny-weeny strapless mini embellished with beads sparkling in patriotic colors.

“I’ve worn Alexandre Vauthier dresses a few times and l loved every look, so I’m really excited that I got to walk for his couture show for the first time,” Jenner posted on her personal website after the show. “My dress was super sexy, short, and sparkly.”

But for some, what she wore before her big Wonder Woman moment is what’s worth talking about. Before taking the stage, the long-legged beauty actually did a practice walk in a Russian Fila T-shirt. A sold-out Gosha Rubchinskiy x Fila shirt, specifically, from the designer’s Spring 2017 Menswear collection. Is her choice of tee, worn at a moment when political chatter regarding Russia is at a new high, a mere coincidence? Or is it a hidden message? You be the judge. Either way, it’s an extremely timely choice from a model with the eyes of the world upon her.
