Kendall Jenner Played Basketball in a $200 American Eagle Outfit
Kendall Jenner, owner of a pair of controversial $800 jeans, stepped out this week in a full denim look that was surprisingly more affordable than her usual sartorial selections from straight off the runway.
The model played basketball in head-to-toe denim from American Eagle, and the entire thing retails for — get this — $200 (or, less than the cost of the AP Chem textbook that's going to be weighing down your backpack for the rest of the year). She paired cropped high-waisted jeans with a peplum denim top, and topped it off with a corduroy-collared jean jacket. To make the outfit truly "head-to-toe," she took a page out of Lara Jean from To All The Boys I've Loved Before's book, accessorized with a denim scrunchie around her high ponytail.
Kendall Jenner has historically been a big fan of the Canadian Tuxedo (the girl must have an entire closet dedicated to oversized jean jackets), and this summarized version of the look (thanks to the spaghetti strap top) proves that you can go full-denim all year round. And, considering how easy it is to throw on two (or three, or four) pieces of denim and call it a day, it may be time to bring this old classic back into our wardrobe rotations now that fall is right around the corner.
