If Kendall Jenner Is Any Indication, Summer Fashion Will Be Very Confusing

Summer is right around the corner, which means it’s almost time for skirts, sandals, and short shorts that tie around your ankles. Well, that is if Kendall Jenner has any say in predicting the trends. Jenner wore an outfit perfectly suited for summer—albeit in a very confusing way—while filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Jenner tucked in half of her oversize striped button-down so that it peeked through her the bottom of her white shorts—but that’s the part that makes the most sense. Attached to her shorts were two long, distressed pieces of fabric, which fell down to wrap around her ankles. It’s as if Tyra Banks was behind Jenner in her closet whispering, “Leg shackles, but make it fashion.”

Kim Kardashian West was also out with Jenner, wearing a black bustier top that will most likely make its way into the summer season as well. The Kardashian-Jenner family has been promoting bustiers and corsets as go-to tops since last year, and it appears they’re not done just yet. To be fair, wrangling your body into a form-fitting piece of lingerie sounds slightly more feasible than strapping shorts to your ankles.
