Kendall Jenner is facing another uninvited visitor to her Hollywood Hills home, and this one showed up with something unexpected: a drone.
TMZ reports that a man was questioned outside the 21-year-old model’s new house (that she only just moved into this past summer), as he was standing on the street outside her gates with a four-rotor drone. The site reports that Kendall’s security team immediately stopped the man, took down his ID, and called the LAPD as reinforcements.
The security teams of everyone in the family have been beefed up as of late, following a string of robberies and stalkers that have targeted the Kardashian-Jenners. It was well-publicized when Kim was robbed while in Paris for Fashion Week in October. Not only was the event itself traumatic for the 36-year-old reality star, but she faced backlash when a false rumor spread that she had staged her own capture for publicity purposes. And only last month, Kendall herself had $200,000 stolen from her house. What’s more is Kendall has already had to go to court to defend herself against last summer’s intruder who followed her into her driveway.
Kendall only recently discussed August’s string of events on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, saying, “I called one of my friends immediately. I’m sobbing, crying. He’s at my window, banging on my window, screaming at me. So then I finally start backing out and I get to my gate. The gate opens and I get out. He all of a sudden starts running after me.” While Kendall remains stoic throughout, it’s clear she’s shaken by the experience. It was only two months before sister Kim was held at gunpoint in Paris, and the two were dealing with post-traumatic stress from the pair of events nearly simultaneously.
While Tuesday’s events may not have escalated to the levels of past security issues that the family has had, it’s scary all the same. TMZ reports that the police officers “checked out the drone guy…even searched his trunk, but let him go because he hadn’t done anything wrong at that point.”
